OBITUARIES:  (published Jan. 17, 2019)

Dr. Mehdi Adeli
  
Mehdi “Mike” Adeli, M.D., 84, of Oak Brook, died Jan. 14, 2018.
   He was preceded in death by his siblings, Hadi and Mahine.
   He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Adeli, nee Lucas; his children, Donald (Paige) Adeli, Sherine Adeli, Susan Adeli, David (Laura) Adeli and Mary (Chris) Lynn; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Samantha, Michael, Sophia, Lucas and Sabrina; and his siblings, Zharine and Parvine.
   Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m., at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.
   Interment is private at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook.

Anna Lorraine Hanson
  
Anna Lorraine Hanson, nee Amborn, 95, passed away Jan. 7, 2019, in Lombard.
   She was born in 1923 on her family farm in Lyons, Wis., to George D. and Anna Marie (Schulz) Amborn. She married Arnold William Hanson, on March 21, 1943.
Anna settled in Hinsdale in 1960 following her husband’s retirement from the U.S. Army. She worked at a number of businesses in Hinsdale, including the Ben Franklin and Snack Time restaurant in Grant Square and the Velvet Bow pet grooming shop. She moved to Largo, Fla., in 1994 and remained there until shortly before her death.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Hanson; and two sons-in-law, Lee Hjelm and Jim Rechlin.
   She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Rechlin, Linda Kay (Brian) Glover, Delores Jean (Phil) Albert and Anthony Edward (Kathleen) Hanson; her grandchildren, Wendy Rene Walters, Lisa Dawn Parker, Amy Marie Prokop, Kevin Scott Glover, Patrick James Glover, Jason Andrew Glover, Peter Alan Albert and Timothy William Albert; and her 10 great-grandchildren.
   Her remains will be interred with her husband at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.

Carmela M. Scamardi
  
Carmela M. Scamardi, 98, a former Hinsdale resident, died Jan. 5, 2019.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen.
   She is survived by her children, Stephen (Linda), Cynthia (William) Higgins, Pamela (David) Jennings and Tina Marie Scamardi; her grandchildren, Joshua (Heather) Cartwright, Laura (Paul) Rashid, Allison Cartwright, Brion Garside, Tara Garside, Hannah (Ryan) McMunn and Madeline Jennings; and her great-grandchildren, Harrison, Claire and Paul Jr.
   Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Adolf Funeral Home, Ltd., 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook.
   Friends and family will meet for a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale.
   Inurnment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

John Charles Schramm
  
John Charles Schramm, 69, of Elgin, formerly of Hinsdale, passed away at home surrounded by his family Jan. 3, 2019.
   He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Schramm.
   He is survived by his children, John Richard Schramm and Stephanie Schramm (Randell Beamon); his parents, Rudolph and Marie Schramm; his grandchildren, Mason Beamon and Mariah Beamon; her sister, Marlene Price; and his nieces, Carey (Rob) Wakeley and Ann (Earl) Evanston.
   Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Lillian May Tyler
  
Lillian “Lim” May Tyler, nee Olsen, 98, died Jan. 10, 2019.
She was born in 1920 to Lawrence Edward Olsen and Lillian Carlson Olsen and raised in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago. Her parents moved the family to Beverly where Lim went to Morgan Park High School, graduating in 1937. Lim and Ollie met while both were working for United Air Lines. Lim married Oliver King Tyler on Aug. 21, 1943 in Charlotte, N.C. while Ollie was in flight training for the Army Air Corps. Lim and Ollie raised their children in Hinsdale. Lim had many lifelong friends from her high school Thalia sorority. She had a friendly, happy nature that attracted friends and made her a pleasure to have in company.    She was beloved by her caretakers at Church Creek before her death.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie; and her siblings, Laura Briggs, Ileane Sundberg and Lawrence E. Olsen, Jr.
   She is survived by her children, Denis J. (Darla) Tyler, Christine (Paul) Predick, Karen (Kenneth) Christianson and Barbara (the late David) Huecksteadt; her grandchildren, Danielle Tyler (Jeremy Izzard), Joel Tyler, Katharine Predick (Taliesin Sutton), Daniel Predick (Jasmine Moisides), Erik Christianson, Britta Christianson, Peter (Kristen) Huecksteadt and Elizabeth Huecksteadt; and her great-grandchildren, Damon Tyler, Minerva Predick-Sutton, Calliope Predick-Sutton, Linus Predick-Sutton and Alexis Dowd.
   The memorial service is private.
   Interment is at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien.
   Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home in Downers Grove handled the arrangements.
