OBITUARIES:  (published April 5, 2018)

Nick P. Dragisic Jr.
Nick P. Dragisic Jr., 68, of Clarendon Hills, formerly of Hinsdale, passed away March 31, 2018, the same way he lived his life.
After battling cancer for 5 1/2 years, suffering a pulmonary embolism, blood clots in his lungs, gangrene, appendicitis and multiple strokes, when asked by the doctor if he felt any pain, he simply answered, “No.”
Nick aka “Moon” aka “The Dream” aka “The Nickinator” aka “Poppa Picture” aka “The Original Nick Dragisic” was a man whose reputation preceded him. He was the definition of “larger-than-life.” A star athlete, he dropped bombs on the baseball and later softball field, never lost a basketball game, ran over 25 marathons and ultra-marathons and could shoot in the high 70s when he was feeling it on the golf course.
Not to be outdone elsewhere, he could quote Shakespeare and Whitman, program in Java and trade stocks for a living (a self-taught skill). But most of all, he was a man with an enormous heart and of unparalleled warmth. He loved his family and friends with an unmatched fervor and had an energy that could make anyone in the room instantly fall in love with him. He never met a party he didn’t like and the party never stopped until he was finished. If you were down or needed help, he was always there, no matter what, no questions asked. The number of lives he touched during his 68 years is uncountable, his impact immeasurable.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lynn Dragisic, nee Bellezzo; his son, Nick Joseph Dragisic; his mother, Georgianna Dragisic; his sisters, Patricia Dragisic and Carol Brown; his niece and nephews, and Kelly and Scott Retterer and Jason Brown; his aunt, Helen Dragisic; and his cousins, Nancy and Ken Kucinski and their children, Lauren and Kenneth.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.
Friends and family will meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, April 7, to proceed to Notre Dame Church, 64 Norfolk Ave., Clarendon Hills for a 10 a.m. Mass.
Interment is at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook.

Ursula Kushner
Ursula Kushner, nee Wosi, 69, of Hinsdale, died April 3, 2018.
Born in 1945 and raised in the Back of the Yards, Ursula graduated from St. John of God and Lourdes High School. Ursula resided with her husband, Terry, for many years in Hinsdale and raised their two daughters. Her family, her dogs and health fitness were her life’s passion.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dr. Terry Kushner; her daughters, Keriann (Paul) Tokarz and Brittni Kushner; her sisters, Barbara (Russ) Warner and Anne Bishop; her brothers-in-law, Mark (Jane) Kushner and Dr. Robert (Nancy) Kushner; and her best friend and loving caregiver, Dee.
   No services are planned.
Memorials may be made online to the Alzheimer’s Association at
Adolf Funeral Home in Willowbrook handled the arrangements.
