OBITUARIES:  (published June 1, 2017)

Greg Bare
Greg Bare, 59, of Broomfield, Colo., formerly of Hinsdale, passed away May 14, 2017, at Avista Adventist Hospital.
   Greg was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., and also spent his youth in Grand Lake, Colo., and Goodland, Kan. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s in business administration from the University of Texas in Austin.
   While at the University of Texas, Greg met the love of his life, Vickie Miller, and they were married in 1980.
   His career in investment banking took them to Round Rock, Texas, and Tampa, Fla. before moving to Hinsdale.
   Following the loss of Vickie to breast cancer in 2008, Greg established the Vickie Lynn Bare    Foundation to provide camp and mission trip scholarships to students in the area.
   He also served as a volunteer at Hinsdale Hospital and enjoyed being able to encourage patients, particularly the children, as they went for tests and evaluations.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Bare; his wife, Vickie Lynn; his son, Justin Scott; his brother David Lawrence Bare; and his half-brother, John Lucero.
   He is survived by his mother, Barbara Jordan; his children, Travis (Nikki) and Chelsea (Geoff Lee); his brothers, Edward (Terri) and Douglas (Alesia); his half-sisters, Linda Lucero and Laura Bare; and several nieces and nephews.
   A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Christ Church of Oak Brook, 501 Oak Brook Road.

Brian E. Foley
Brian E. Foley, 66, formerly of Hinsdale, passed away on May 23, 2017, at Carson Tahoe Hospital in Nevada with his wife and daughter by his side.
   Brian was born to Marcelle and Wallace Foley in 1951 and raised in Hinsdale, where he graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 1969. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged with a medical condition.
   He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver, where he was a Kappa Sigma, and later earned a business degree from Elmhurst College.
   He relocated to Reno, Nev., and became an independent real estate appraiser.
Brian is survived by his wife, Jovelyn; his daughter, Brianna; and his brother, Kevin.
   Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at St. Teresa of Avila Chapel in Carson City, Nev.

Helen Marron
Helen Marron, nee Collins, 80, of Hinsdale passed away peacefully at her home on May 30, 2017, surrounded by family.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Dennis Collins.
   She is survived by her husband, Charles Marron; her sons, Michael (Carol), Brian (Trish), Matthew (Donna), Mark (Debbie) and Paul Marron; her grandchildren, Matthew, Kristin, Ryan, John, Caitlin, Kiley and Charlie; her sisters, Betty (late Dr. Gerald) Scanlon, Cathy Collins and Peggy (Dick) Feehery; and many nieces and nephews.
   Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 2, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside.
   Family and friends will gather at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, June 3, for prayers before proceeding to St. Isaac Jogues Church, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale, for a 10 a.m. Mass.
   Interment is at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook.

Mark Arthur Rodocker
Mark Arthur Rodocker, a longtime Clarendon Hills resident, passed away May 30, 2017, at Edwards Hospital in Naperville.
   Mr. Rodocker, 57, was born in 1959 at Hinsdale Hospital.
   He was a Cold War veteran of the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves and a retired electrical engineer. He had a great love for the outdoors, especially fishing.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary, nee Gerrietts, Rodocker; and his two brothers, Phillip and Jon Rodocker.
   He is survived by one brother, Charles ”Chuck” Rodocker.
   Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 West Talcott Road, Park Ridge.
   Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines with full military honors.
