Susan G. Fry
Susan G. Fry, nee Smith, 68, passed away Oct. 14, 2017, at her home in Western Springs.    She was surrounded by her family and loved ones and her devoted granddogs, Riley and Vance.
   She was born in 1949 in Chicago.
   After attending Western Illinois University, she pursued her love of shopping and began a career in retail at Gilmore’s and Madigan’s department stores. Later in life she found her dream job at the Thomas Ford Memorial Library. Her best years were devoted to raising her children, who were her pride and joy.
   Susan, aka Ms. Pink, loved anything and everything pink, fairies, shopping, gardening, reading, cooking, baking and sewing. She especially loved planning elaborate celebrations for her daughters. Susan will always be remembered for her strength of character, independence and unwavering devotion to Jordan and Kaylan. 
   She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Blanche Smith.
   She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert Fry; her daughters, Jordan Fry Kavanaugh and Kaylan Fry; and her siblings, Sheri (Chris) Schwingle, Sharon (Jeff) Powell and Bill (Lauren) Smith.
   Visitation is at 3 today, Oct. 19, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St. Hinsdale. A service will take place at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is private.

Sidney F. Hutcherson III
Sidney F. Hutcherson III, 63, of Willowbrook died Oct. 11, 2017, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
   He was born in 1954 in Jacksonville, N.C.
   He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Hutcherson, nee Smith; his son, Brett (Sarah) Hutcherson; his grandchildren, Henry Cleves and Thomas Sidney; and his siblings, Lila (Jim) Bradshaw and Walter Van Hutcherson.
   The funeral service and internment will be private.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made online to Little Brothers, Friends of the Elderly, Chicago Chapter at
   Sullivan Funeral Home in Hinsdale handled the arrangements.

Rita Anne Pienkos
Rita Anne Pienkos, 72, of Findlay, Ill., died Oct. 14, 2017, in Springfield after suffering complications from heart surgery.
   Rita was born in 1945 in Chicago, the only child of Robert and Katheryn Russell. She attended St. Felicitas School and Aquinas Dominican High School. Rita loved to crochet, and she made blankets for everyone in her family and for local charities. Her happiest days were spent fishing on Lake Shelbyville, where she could be counted on to drive the boat onto the carrier in one try, no matter how rough the water.
   A reader of mystery fiction, Rita was a curious and thoughtful person who regularly offered her spare room to anyone in need. She also loved dogs and liked to walk her mutt, Duke, through the quiet streets of Findlay.
   Rita is survived by her husband, Frederick J. Pienkos Sr., a former employee of Elliston Funeral Home in Hinsdale; her children, Deborah Palz-Schnulle, Rob Palz and Frederick J. Pienkos Jr.; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
   Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 today, Oct. 19, at Adolf Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook. Interment will be private.
   Brian Powell Funeral Directors of Hinsdale handled the arrangements.

Dina Marie Stagner
Dina Marie Stagner, nee Alberts, 48, of New Lenox died Oct. 13, 2017, in Joliet.
   She was born in 1969 in Oak Lawn.
   For 32 years, you could find Dina’s big smile at Dominick’s and Jewel.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stagner.
   She is survived by her children, Ashley and John Stagner; her parents, Donna Marie Alberts and Joseph (Mary Ann) Alberts; her siblings, Joseph (Michele) of Hinsdale, John, Michael (Kathy), Dawn (Michael) Lorr of Hinsdale and Denise Alberts; and her nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Matthew, Jack, Joe, Michael, Alexis, Ava, Danny, Isabella, Luke and Francesca.
   A funeral Mass was said Oct. 18 at St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox.
   Interment was private.
   Donations may be directed to Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale, IL 60251, to help care for Dina’s children.

Barbara Turgeon
Barbara Turgeon, 88, a 50-year resident of Hinsdale, passed away Oct. 16, 2017, at her home with her children by her side.
   She was born in 1929 in Chicago and was a homemaker.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.
   She is survived by her sons, Richard (Regina), Patrick (Rose), Robert and James (Carol); and her grandchildren, Julie, Patrick, Danny and Gregory.
   Services will be private.
