    Pictures from the past - The building at 101 S. Washington St., which is now occupied by Marcus, started out as the Hinsdale State Bank. Designed by Hinsdale architect William Barfield, it was built in 1927. In the 1960s the building was purchased by Pat Davis, the mother of Sally Parsons, who provided this photo.     The Hinsdale Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 900 block of South Elm Street Wednesday, Aug. 14. The home's occupants were outside, having been alerted by smoke detectors, when the fire department arrived on the scene.     The most significant improvement project at Hinsdale Central High School over the summer, according to Principal Bill Walsh, didn't require any heavy equipment.
