Twenty-seven Hinsdale residents have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week. The DuPage County Health Department reported 25 new cases, and the Cook County Health Department reported two new cases. That brings the total number of reported cases in the village to 2,043, compared to 2,016 last week. Train crossings in downtown Hinsdale were closed for about 90 minutes Wednesday afternoon as police investigated a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and a freight train near the Highland station.
