    Following an exchange outside of Hinsdale South High School after an Oct. 28 school board meeting, Erik Held has filed a grievance complaint against fellow board member Jeff Waters.     Hinsdale trustees have signaled their support for an $18.4 million operating budget for 2022. At Tuesday night’s village board meeting, trustees reviewed the draft spending plan for the upcoming year, which is an increase of $623,449, or 3.5 percent, over the 2021 budget.     Twenty-six Hinsdale residents have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week. The DuPage County Health Department reported 20 new cases, and the Cook County Health Department reported six new cases. That brings the total number of reported cases in the village to 2,246, compared to 2,220 last week. Amita Hinsdale Hospital had 11 confirmed COVID-19 patients and no patients awaiting test results as of Wednesday, a spokeswoman said.     Hinsdale police officers responded to a home in the 200 block of East Walnut at 9:41 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, after the homeowner reported that a suspicious vehicle had pulled into the driveway.
