The village of Hinsdale’s annual fall leaf pickup program will begin Monday, Nov. 1. The program is designed to keep village streets cleaner and safer and to help keep leaves out of sewers and storm drains. The most important thing to remember is that leaves cannot be placed in the street for removal. Visitors to the Hinsdale Community Pool next swim season will enjoy a wave of improvements. Work began last month on $771,600 in upgrades to the facility, including a new concrete lap pool deck, a new filtration system, repainting of the pool and new fencing. A District 181 family reportedly has agreed to join a lawsuit filed by attorney Tom Devore regarding the state’s mask mandate and other COVID-19 protocols.
