    The village of Hinsdale and Lt. Tom McCarthy of the Hinsdale Fire Department are the subject of a discrimination lawsuit filed on behalf of Nicole Hladik, a firefighter who took her own life in July 2020.     One new Hinsdale resident has tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week. The DuPage County Health Department reported one new case, and the Cook County Health Department reported no new cases. That brings the total number of reported cases in the village to 1,828, compared to 1,827 last week. Amita Hinsdale Hospital had three confirmed COVID-19 patients and no patients awaiting test results as of Monday, a spokesman said.
