Stuff the squad - Colin Grieve, a second-grader at Madison School, drops off his donation Monday morning inside the back seat of a Hinsdale police car. Students across all District 181 schools created a partnership with the Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills and Burr Ridge police departments this week to collect food and supplies for clients of HCS Family Services. The Hinsdale Historic Preservation Commission last week recommended local landmark status for the historic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Bagley House. Twenty-five Hinsdale residents have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week. The DuPage County Health Department reported 22 new cases, and the Cook County Health Department reported three new cases. A person driving by the home at 323 W. North St. noticed flames coming from the roof Monday afternoon, called 911 and notified residents of the fire. Hinsdale Central students recently enjoyed after-school visits with several dogs from Pet Partners. The pet therapy dogs were a big hit with the kids and didn't lack for any attention or affection during their visit. Hinsdale High School District 86 Board members have approved an increase in staffing levels for the upcoming school year, driven primarily by the addition of a biology-first science sequence at Hinsdale South.
