    With the Fourth of July falling on a Sunday this year, several offices will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. The village of Hinsdale will be closed, with regular hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. returning Tuesday, July 6. Village hall also is open by appointment as early as 8 a.m. and as late as 4:30 p.m. on regular business days.     Two new Hinsdale residents have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week. The DuPage County Health Department reported one new cases, and the Cook County Health Department reported one new case. That brings the total number of reported cases in the village to 1,828 up from 1,826 last week. Amita Hinsdale Hospital had two confirmed COVID-19 patients and no patients awaiting test results on Wednesday, a spokesman said.   • Railroad work to close Stough Street crossing

    The Hinsdale Community Pool will be closed June 25-27 for the annual Hinsdale Swim Cliub meet. Pool members and residents will be able to use the pool at Five Seassons, 6901 S. Madison St., Burr Ridge, as an alternative swim location.
