    All Illinois schools will be required to offer full-day kindergarten by 2027-28, but Community Consolidated Elementary District 181 is on track to do so for the 2025-26 school year. Gov. JB Pritzker signed House Bill 2396 Aug. 2, Superintendent Hector Garcia reported at the Aug. 14 school board meeting.     Hinsdale firefighters quickly put out a garage fire Saturday morning before it could spread to a nearby home. The fire was reported by the next-door neighbors when the crackling noise woke up a family member, who saw flames spreading along a fence that appeared to be minutes away from starting their home on fire.     Hinsdale police have received results from the Illinois State Police Crime lab and concluded their investigation into a July 17 accident that killed 14-year-old Sean Richards of Hinsdale and injured four others. The test results indicated there were no drugs or alcohol in the system of the 16-year-old employee of Fuller’s Car Wash, who drove the Jeep that accelerated unexpectedly while exiting the car wash bay.
