    A 49-year-old Hinsdale man confessed to murdering his former wife in Geneva before taking his own life on June 14. Police responded to the home of Amanda R. Dockery, 48, in the 1000 block of Pebble Beach Court at 5:22 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from her ex-husband, Chad L. Dockery, who said he had killed her, according to a news alert posted by the city of Geneva on its webpage. He told police he was armed with a pistol.     For the fourth year in a row, The Hinsdalean was named the best large nondaily newspaper in the state in the Illinois Better Newspaper Contest. The paper earned the Will Loomis Memorial Trophy after receiving the most points in the Illinois Press Associations editorial contest.     Hinsdale police and fire department personnel responded to a fatal train versus pedestrian accident at the Vine Street pedestrian crossing at 11:02 a.m. Wednesday. In a press release following the incident, police reported that a witness observed an adult man jump in front of a westbound freight train.
