Allowing the village to pick and choose homes in Hinsdale to get special treatment at the expense of taxpayers is totally inappropriate and un-American. Recently, I read a guest commentary by Bret Conway concerning the banning of books in school libraries. He states there were attempts to censor 4,240 books in schools and public libraries in 2023. The Historic Preservation Commission has been involved in generating grants and tax abatements to assist in the financing and construction of additions to homes on the Historically Significant Structures Property List.
