Naomi Ann Ledene, nee Johnson, of Burr Ridge, formerly of Hinsdale, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Aug. 9, 2019.
Naomi, 94, was born in Scandia, Alberta, Canada, in 1924 to Oscar and Amy Johnson. After high school, she attended Camrose Lutheran College for two years, then attended Holy Cross in Calgary, where she earned a degree as a registered nurse.
She worked as an RN in Brooks, Alberta, until she married Ernest Ledene in 1957. They settled in Hinsdale, and Naomi served the Lord faithfully through the church and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her brothers Lawrence and Richard; and her parents, Oscar and Amy.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Nancy), Judith Ledene, Ann Ledene and Carol (Bart) Seitz; her grandchildren, Kathryn, Erin, Lauren, John, Meredith, Anna and Graham; her great-grandson, Brayden; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale, until a noon funeral service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Elmhurst.
