Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Aug. 28.
DUI arrest
Audrey Vela-Hotwagner, 49, 13007 W. Hiawatha Drive, Homer Glen, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to signal when required at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 21 at Center and Grant streets. She was charged and released to appear in court.
Suspended license arrest
Everett E. Scott, 50, 2921 W. 81st St., Chicago, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle with suspended registration (no insurance) at 11:36 p.m. Aug. 22 and 55th and Elm streets.
Battery reported at hospital
A known suspect pushed an employee out of the way while trying to leave Amita Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale, 120 N. Oak St., at 4 p.m. Aug. 23. Charges are pending the suspect’s release from the hospital.
Identity thief targets bank accounts
A resident of the 300 block of West Hickory Street reported two fraudulent withdrawals on her bank account Aug. 15 in the amounts of $8,600 and $9,500. The theft was reported Aug. 20.
Cash, other items reported missing
• Two checks and a credit card were reported missing from a wallet found in the area of Ogden Avenue and Washington Street. The victim reported he might have left his wallet on the counter at Walgreens, 15 Grant Square, between 4:30 and 5:15 p.m. Aug. 23.
• A resident of Manorcare, 600 W. Ogden Ave., reported at 5:42 p.m. Aug. 22 that $7 was missing from the purse she keeps in her room.
Burglary to vehicle
Someone entered a vehicle parked in the driveway in the 900 block of South Bruner Street and rummaged through the interior between 3:40 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 20. Nothing was reported missing.
