Mary Ann Cook, 70, of Burr Ridge passed away peacefully Nov. 11, 2019 at Amita Adventist Medical Center in Hinsdale.
She was born in 1949 in Hammond, Ind., to John M. and Christine, nee Duffy, Gaida. A longtime Burr Ridge resident, Mary Ann was an active parishioner at St. John of the Cross and proudly served on staff at Hinsdale Central High School for almost 13 years.
Mary Ann will be remembered most for her unconditional love of and dedication to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Charles Cook; her son, Andrew (Julie) Cook; her brothers, John Gaida and Robert (Christine) Gaida; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Road, Western Springs. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
