Sharon Emily Shankland, nee Ogstad, 77, a 14-year Hinsdale resident, died Dec. 3, 2019.
Sharon was a selfless wife, mother, loving grandmother, and proud to have been a well-traveled military spouse.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Don Ogstad.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Charles Garber Shankland (USAF Ret.); her children, Scott (Jennifer) Shankland and Stephanie (Todd) Lord; her grandchildren, Scott and Reagan Shankland and Matthew, Megan, and Michael Lord; her brother, Dick (Nancy); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at Trondhjem Lutheran Church in Volin, SD. Sullivan Funeral Home in Hinsdale handled the arrangements.
