Bring a friend, sip bubbly and spread holiday cheer at the Hinsdale Auxiliary of Children’s Home and Aid annual party. Organizers are collecting gift cards for foster teens from Wal Mart, Best Buy, H&M, GameStop, Jewel Osco, Amazon, Target and gas stations. Vintage Charm will donate 15 percent of sales to Children’s Home and Aid, and the Green Goddess Charitable Foundation will match the amount. Time: 6 to 9 p.m.

Lifetherapy, owned by Hinsdale’s Lynette Lovelace, will host this unique shopping event offering one-of-a-kind gifts from vendors such as Mucci de Firenze of Hinsdale. Enjoy wine tasting hosted by Standard Market, wood-fired pizzas from Billy Bricks Pizza Truck and live music from by Abbey Carlson and Nicholas Stankus from 5 to 8 p.m. Donations will support Young Life and R33M, the Ross K MacNeill Foundation, which works to end pediatric brain cancer. Time: noon to 9 p.m. Suggested donation: $20.
Gifts for Yanks collection

Hinsdale American Legion Post 250 members will be collecting cash donations to purchase holiday gifts for hospitalized veterans and those in nursing homes/assisted living. All of the funds collected go to the vets. Watch for members around town or mail donations to Post 250, PO Box 92, Hinsdale, IL 60522-0092.

At this alternative shopping market, make contributions toward food and clothes for children or medical transportation or water for a village. A card that describes the project’s impact can be used to present the gift to the recipient. Enjoy live music, fellowship, tasty treats and activities for kids. A $5 lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Enjoy a festive arrangement of new and traditional Christmas music, featuring church choirs, representatives from high school music groups and other fun surprises. Tree of Remembrance

Amita St. Thomas Hospice has decorated its Tree of Remembrance outside of BMO Harris Bank. Community members are able to make a donation and have a loved one’s name listed on the boards beside the tree. Envelopes are available on site.
