Beverly Glas Pace, MD, of Oak Brook died Dec. 21, 2019.
Beverly grew up in Calumet Park, graduated magna cum laude from Hope College and attended medical school at Rush University, where she met her husband, John. Together, they owned and operated Wheaton Family Practice for nearly three decades prior to joining DuPage Medical Group. She was a dedicated physician and was passionate about helping her patients achieve health and wellness.
Beverly was an avid cyclist and Scrabble player, an appreciator of travel and symphony, and an enthusiastic patron of Chicago restaurants. Beverly found her spiritual home at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, where she served as an usher for many years, and later a deacon. A devoted mother to her three children, she had a knack for bringing out the best in people, and a gift for motivating others to realize their full potential.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Glas; and her brother, Charles Glas.
She is survived by her husband, John B. Pace, MD; her children, Randall F. Pace, Lauren M. Pace, DO, and Rebecca L. (John) Tolle; and her grandchildren, Blaise Baker and Samuel and Flynn Tolle.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Fourth Presbyterian Church, 126 E. Chestnut St., Chicago.Interment is at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook.
