Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Dec. 23.

Domestic battery arrest

A 49-year-old Hinsdale woman was arrested Dec. 19 for domestic battery for making contact of an insulting or provoking nature with a family member. She was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.

Suspended license arrests

• Portrait Phillips, 25, 9812 S. Ingleside Ave., Chicago, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and speeding at 8:34 a.m. Dec. 18 at 55th Street and Interstate 294. Phillips was charged and released to appear in court.

• Marcus Bernard Collins, 28, 339 Meadowlark Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and having improper lighting at 6:33 p.m. Dec. 17 at Camberly Court and 55th Street He was charged and released to appear in court.

Scammer targets senior

An elderly resident of the 200 block of West 59th Street sent about $100,000 through direct deposit to someone who contacted him and said he was a sweepstakes winner and needed to pay a processing fee. Payments were made between Aug. 1 and Dec. 1, and the incident was reported Dec. 18.

Identity theft reported

Someone made three fraudulent $2,000 withdrawals from the bank account of a resident of the 100 block of North Stough Street between Oct. 9 and 11. The theft was reported Dec. 19.
