Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Feb. 18.
Arrest for purse theft
Patricia H. Paulin, 60, 714 W. 63rd St. No. 203, Westmont, was arrested for retail theft and retail theft with a previous conviction, both felonies, after being observed at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 15 leaving Kelsey Resale Boutique, 49 S. Washington St., with a purse valued at $1399.99 that she did not pay for. She was arrested Feb. 16 and taken to DuPage County Jail. The purse was recovered.
Vehicles burglarized
• Vehicles in the 500 Block Bonnie Brae Road, the 500 block of Morris Lane, the 100 and 400 blocks of West North Street, the 10 block of Glendale Avenue, the 300 block of North Garfield Avenue and the 200 block of Birchwood Avenue were entered and rummaged through between 2:59 and 4:25 a.m. Feb. 11. A laptop, books and clothing were stolen from one vehicle, $17 from another and $1 from a third. Personal documents from one vehicle were found scattered on the sidewalk of a neighbor’s house.
• A vehicle parked in a driveway in the 300 block of South Garfield Avenue was rummaged through Feb. 10. Nothing of value was reported missing.
Garbage cans stolen
A garbage can and recycling bin, valued at $100 each, were stolen between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 14 from the front of a house in the 10 block of Camberley Court.
Fraud reported
A resident of the 900 block of Brook Place purchased a $110 cooking appliance through an online marketplace on Jan. 26 but did not receive the appliance and has not been able to reach the seller suspect. The incident was reported Feb. 11.
