The District 86 Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee is seeking students, staff and parents/guardians of children rising to grades six through 12 next year who are interested in serving on the committee.
The group’s charge is directed by board policy and the Illinois School Code and has been focused on issues such as student conduct and behavior, reciprocal reporting agreements between the district and local law enforcement, school bus safety and student health (e.g. administration of medication in schools).
The district plans to expand the PTAC during the 2020-21 school year. Group members will have the chance to offer their guidance and feedback on a variety of important issues and initiatives.
Residents who would like to be considered for membership school year should fill out the online form at https://forms.gle/Th8E4wqthwR9ejH48 by Friday, May 15.
Applicants must be available to attend all five meetings planned for next year. The meetings will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m., with dates and locations yet to be determined.
