Kenneth P. Milbradt, 95, of Clarendon Hills, passed away April 26, 2020, at Amita Hinsdale Hospital.
A loyal American throughout his life, Ken served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a lieutenant onboard the aircraft carrier USS Randolph.
Kenneth was born in 1924 to Clarence and Rose Milbradt. He was a dedicated family man and resident of Clarendon Hills for 70 years.
Ken received his degrees at Illinois Institute of Technology while enrolled in the V12 program, and returned after the war to teach for 40 years at the school.
As a former president of the ASCE, professor and consulting engineer, Ken’s expertise benefited numerous colleagues, students and industries.
He is survived by his daughters, Adrienne Milbradt and Pamela Hufstader; his granddaughter, Sara Hufstader; and his two great-grandchildren, Katheryn Collins and Callie Collins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth B. Milbradt, in 1986.
Due to the restrictions on public gatherings a private interment will be held at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
