Hinsdale police distributed the following reports June 30.
Criminal trespass, theft arrest
Jamie J. Dubrovay, 57, 38 S. Madison St., Hinsdale, was arrested for battery, criminal trespass to vehicle and theft for removing a briefcase containing $2,000, a $350 watch and other personal items from an ex-boyfriend’s vehicle at 5:35 p.m. May 22. An arrest warrant was obtained June 5, and Dubrovay was served at 4:45 a.m. June 17. After being charged, she was taken to DuPage County Jail.
DUI arrest
Luz Maria Rivera, 30, 475 Laurel Ave., Des Plaines, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after hitting a traffic signal at 1:29 a.m. June 24 at Ogden Avenue and York Road. She was charged and released to appear in court.
Methamphetamine arrest
Christopher Lyn Arona, 34, 347 N. Oakwood Drive, Griffith, Ind., was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia at 6:53 p.m. June 25 in the 300 block of North Vine Street. Police were dispatched to a report of a suspicious person with his pants unzipped and discovered the suspect in possession of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. He was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.
Man arrested for property damage
Todor Gagarov, 45, 311 W. 59th St., No. 14, Hinsdale, was arrested June 28 for criminal damage to property for taking the lock off a woman’s bicycle and throwing it into a dumpster between 1 p.m. June 20 and 2 p.m. June 22. The bike suffered damage to its handle grips, seat and frame. Gagarov was cited and released to appear in court.
Arrests for license violations
• Robert C. Gianneschi, 43, 6340 Americana Drive, No. 510, Willowbrook, was arrested for driving with a revoked license, operating a vehicle while using an electronic communication device and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 10:01 a.m. June 23 at Madison and 55th streets. He was charged and released to appear in court.
• Benjamin B. Begonia, 72, 819 Phillippa St., Hinsdale, was arrested for driving with a suspended license at 3:28 p.m. June 29 at Garfield Avenue and 55th Street. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Domestic battery
A 57-year-old Hinsdale woman was arrested June 17 for domestic battery for making contact of an insulting or provoking nature with an ex-boyfriend in May. She also was charged with interfering with the reporting of domestic violence for knocking the cell phone out of his hand to prevent him from calling police. She was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Ring stolen from woman
A diamond ring worth $1,600 was reported missing from a jewelry box belonging to a resident of 21 Spinning Wheel Road. The ring disappeared between June 17 and 23 while caregivers were in the apartment.
