Daniel Harris Schoenberg, 70, passed away in his sleep Aug. 24, 2020.
Dan was born in New York in 1949 to Solomon and Sylvia Schoenberg and was raised in Teaneck, N.J. He practiced civil engineering for several municipalities and served the Village of Hinsdale for 26 years as its engineer. After retiring from the village as director of public works, Dan continued to dedicate his professional talents to private consulting projects throughout the suburban Chicago area with James J. Benes and Associates.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan; his son, Max (Tracy); his two grandchildren, Calvin and Stanley; his son, Samuel (Maggie); his sister, Janet (Steve) Mirsky; and his brother, Joel (Anne).
