William Charles Barnhart, 81, of Burr Ridge passed away Sept. 12, 2020, after a 10-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.
He grew up in Downers Grove and graduated from Downers North High School and The University of Iowa. At Iowa he met Nan, who became his wife of 61 years. Bill and Nan lived in Clarendon Hills for 50 years before moving to Burr Ridge. He was a longtime member of Christ Church of Oak Brook and Ruth Lake Country Club.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Beth (the late Rick) Gray and Debbie (Dave) Shook; his four grandsons, Ethan (Sarah) Weber, Griffin Weber, Michael Gray and Daniel Gray; and his brother, Ray (Diane) Barnhart.
He was preceded in death by his sister, June Pizzi.
A memorial service was held Sept. 17 at Christ Church of Oak Brook.
Interment was be private.
