Frona Marie Fournier, 88, a longtime Hinsdale resident, passed away peacefully Dec. 7, 2020, at Auberge of Naperville.
She was born in 1932 in Chicago to Henry and Margaret Mudlaff.
Frona was an outstanding mother and grandmother who always put family first. She was a homemaker and mother to eight children. After raising the children, Frona spent 20 years at Lions Clubs International slowly working her way up to manager of the Club Member Awards Department, traveling the world during her career.
Frona was a strict yet loving mom who corralled her brood safely into adulthood. The home-cooked meals around the kitchen table and sense of family camaraderie are memories they will never forget. As a grandmother, Frona’s face always lit up when the little ones would come over. They were the highlight of her day. Frona’s sense of humor was with her throughout this last year. She had a gregarious spirit and a ready smile for all and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Roger; and her son, Roy.
She is survived by her seven children, Roger, Lawrence (Vicki), Joseph (Karen), Mary (Stephen) Starykowicz, Susan (Lawrence Rosenberg), Virginia (Robert Blahut) and Molly (Michael Niehaus; her 12 grandchildren; and her eight great-grandchildren.
