James Calvin Cameron, 77, of Darien passed away peacefully Jan. 16, 2021, surrounded by his family after a courageous 10-month battle with brain cancer.
Jim was born in 1943 in Portland, Ore., to Wendell and Dorothy Cameron and was a proud graduate of Portland State University.
He moved to Naperville to raise his family and had a successful 32-year career with Merck Pharmaceuticals.
In retirement, he loved spending time with his family - especially his six grandchildren. He particularly enjoyed attending many of their sporting events and activities.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judith, née Dehen; his children, Michelle (John) Cracraft and James C. (Erin) Cameron; his grandchildren, Kara, Marian and Nolan Cracraft, and Claire, Grant and Amelia Cameron; his siblings, Laura Jean (Todd) Wilder, Mary (Bill) Keeling; and his nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanna Cameron.
Services were held Jan. 23. Interment was private.
