Among other business at their meeting Monday, board members
• awarded about $1.7 million in bids for summer capital projects. Two of the larger projects are floor replacement at Clarendon Hills Middle School for $665,000 and gym floor replacement at Madison, Prospect, Oak, The Lane and Monroe for $390,720.
• reviewed scores from the winter MAP tests, which students took Jan. 11-29. In reading, 77.3 percent of in-person students are meeting or exceeding expectations, and 77.6 percent are doing so in math. Administrators say the scores show students are not experiencing an achievement gap due to COVID-19.
• accepted gifts and contributions totaling more than $20,700 from school PTOs and the District 181 Foundation for items such as the Math Assistance Hotline and a music cart and accessories
