The Hinsdale Police Department made an arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, one for driving with a suspended license, one for felony possession of cannabis (101-499 grams), and one for possession of cannabis by driver during the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement period, according to a department press release.
“By keeping impaired drivers off the roads and ensuring that motorists and passengers are buckled up, we’re able to help make the roads a safer place for everyone,” said Deputy Chief Thomas Lillie.
Police also issued citations for speeding and one for improper lane usage.
Hinsdale police joined forces with highway safety partners and both state and local law enforcement in the campaign, funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation as part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
