Hinsdale police distributed the following reports May 4.

Felony theft arrest

Wanda L. Bickerstaff, 62, 1109 Saylor St., Downers Grove, was arrested on a Class 2 felony charge of theft on April 28 for embezzling more than $10,000 from Chris Crawford LTD, formerly at 22 W. First St., between Jan. 1, 2015, and March 15, 2018. She surrendered to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office after a warrant was issued for her arrest April 20.

Felony controlled substance arrest

Adan M. Ibarra, 35, 153 Plainview Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested on a felony count of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia at 3:15 p.m. April 29 in the 400 block of North Washington Street after police were called about a suspicious person. Police found a white powdery substance that field tested positive for heroin. He was charged and take to DuPage County Jail.

DUI arrest

Michael A. Chappetto, 44, 9927 S. Sawyer Ave., Evergreen Park, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08 and speeding at 12:54 a.m. May 2 at Oak Street and Ogden Avenue. He was charged and released to appear in court.

Reckless driving arrest

Samanta Cardona Cardenas, 25, 3645 S. 59th Ave., Cicero, was arrested for disobeying a stop sign, failure to signal (three charges), unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and reckless driving at 1:48 p.m. April 27 in the 5500 block of South Grant Street. She was charged and released to appear in court.

Unlawful possession of cannabis

Maxwell K. Snodgrass, 22, 18 S. Park Ave., Hinsdale, was cited for speeding and unlawful possession of cannabis at 10:42 p.m. April 23 at York Road and Ogden Avenue. His passenger was served an arrest warrant out of North Riverside, as reported in last week’s paper.

Bike stolen from HMS

An unlocked $790 bicycle was taken from the bike rack at Hinsdale Middle School, 100 S. Washington St., between 8:20 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 29. The theft was reported May 3.

Wallet taken from cart

Someone took a wallet containing a drivers license, credit cards, checkbook and about $200 from a shopping cart at Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave., at 4:44 p.m. May 2. The victim reported four fraudulent charges on her credit cards totaling $1,987.17 after the theft.

Windshield cracked

A woman reported her windshield was cracked by a blunt object while parked in the lot at 10 S. Vine St. between 6 and 7:21 a.m. April 26. No damage estimate was available.
