Patrick J. Colombo, 98, of Clarendon Hills died May 20, 2021.
Patrick earned a degree in chemical engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA at the University of Chicago. He went on to become a longtime chemical engineer at Standard Oil/Amoco. He was a proud World War II veteran.
Patrick enjoyed traveling with his wife, Jeanne, and their lifelong friends, Phil and Kay Raleigh. He was a volunteer at the Clarendon Hills Library, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Notre Dame Parish Food Pantry.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne E. Colombo, nee Griffin; his children, Leah Bolek, Kevin Colombo, Janet (John) Lattmann and Valerie (Mike) Redlich; his grandchildren, Brian and Valerie (Jose Rangel) Bolek, Zachary (Amber), Patrick and Luke Lattmann, and Michael (Mika) Redlich; and his great-grandchildren, T.J. and Wesley Bolek and Patrick Lattmann.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rick (Pat) Colombo.
A funeral Mass was said May 26 at Notre Dame Church in Clarendon Hills.
Entombment was private at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
