Residents who are interested in joining The Hinsdalean’s pool of contributing columnists are invited to apply.
Writers should email a sample column of 450 words along with ideas for three additional columns to editor Pam Lannom at [email protected]. The ideas don’t need to be detailed, but they are a factor in the selection process.
Applicants should include their name, address and daytime phone number, along with a brief bio and a few sentences on why they are applying for the position (which is unpaid). One slot is reserved for a high school senior.
Those who are interested in writing about a business, nonprofit organization, political agenda or other similar subject should not apply. Elected officials and employees of public bodies are not eligible, either.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 19.
