In May, Hinsdale High School District 86 began creating weekly video updates about its Future Ready Facilities projects. Links to the videos are available at https://d86.hinsdale86.org/Page/1806.
In the latest video posted July 23, Jeff Dvorak from Pepper Construction talks about the work being done on the following renovation projects happening at Hinsdale Central:
• installation of stadium bleachers in the new natatorium along with a glass railing for the bleachers
• installation of a video board and lighting over the pool vessel
• ongoing tile work on the pool deck and the application of plaster in the vessel, with the filling of the pool to follow
• installation of steel for the new grand stadium on the football field
• construction of the new ticket booth, with roofing and masonry work
• installation of steel for the new student services addition
• completion of classroom remodels, including flooring
• installation of ceiling grids and cabinets in the special education area
• ongoing structural roof reinforcement and bearing masonry walls work in the fine arts remodel
• pouring of foundation walls and installation of structural block in the fine arts addition
• completion of roofing work
• installation of new backstops, outfield fencing and warning tracks at baseball and softball fields
• installation of new curbs in the staff parking along with ongoing paving prep
