Police beat

Hinsdale police released the following reports Aug. 3 and 11.

DUI arrests

• Corey C. Miles, 38, 3060A N. Seventh St., Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol level higher than .08 and transportation of open alcohol by a driver at 1:20 a.m. Aug. 6 at Route 83 and Chicago Avenue. Police were called to check on a possible disabled vehicle on the shoulder. Miles was charged and released to appear in court.

• Margaret A. Palacios, 57, 3141 W. 42nd Place, Floor 3, Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol level higher than .08, driving on the wrong side of the road, illegal stopping/standing/parking where prohibited and transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver at 4:17 a.m. Aug. 7 in the 400 block of North Monroe Street. She was charged and released to appear in court.

Man wanted on warrant

Randle J. May, 34, 1466 S. 92nd St., West Allis, Wis., was arrested on a felony count of being a fugitive from justice along with driving with a suspended license and driving without a registration light at 11:52 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 400 block of East Walnut Street. He had an active arrest warrant from Racine County, Wis. He was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.

Suspended license arrest

Daniel D. Moore, 31, 10127 S. Peoria St., Chicago, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, speeding and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 2:55 p.m. Aug. 3 at Ogden Avenue and Interstate 294. He was in possession of a green leafy substance that field tested positive for cannabis. He was charged and released to appear in court.

Theft reported

A known suspect forged two checks totaling $2,300 using the victim’s checking account at Manor Care, 600 W. Ogden Ave., between July 9 and 26. The theft was reported Aug. 8.

Identity thefts reported

• Someone attempted to open a bank account using the information of a resident of the 100 block of South Madison Street at 10:34 a.m. Aug. 3.

• The account of a resident of the 800 block of Wilson Lane was accessed by a suspect who withdrew airline miles at 2 p.m. July 28. The incident was reported Aug. 5.

Hit and run incident

A vehicle was struck by a white Chrysler van at 12:39 p.m. July 30 while parked at a Shell gas station pump, 210 E. Ogden Ave. The driver of the van was described as a white male, between 5’6” and 5’8” in height, with a medium build and short black hair.
