Madison School fifth-graders from the school's Girl Scout Troop put together a lemonade stand to help raise money for Lurie Children's Hospital. The beneficiary was chosen in part because one of their members has been receiving care while going through cancer treatment. Gisele Gourley and Annie Gustafson prepare some lemonade for customers last Tuesday afternoon. Troop members include Reese Myhra, Annie Gustafson, Eva Anguilar, Gisele Gourley, Elise Allison, Olivia Adamo and Sara Beth Peters. Olivia Adamo and Gustafson take their turn drumming up business on the corner of Seventh and Monroe. The girls raised more than $500 for the hospital. (Jim Slonoff photos)
