Robert Wayne Zielke

Robert Wayne Zielke, 77 of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away Aug. 13, 2021.

He was born in 1944 in Chicago to Marie M. (Mullins) and Carl W. Zielke Sr., and attended St. Francis de Sales High School. Robert graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and went on to earn his living as a telecommunications professional.

His logical thinking and quick mind provided guidance, while his sense of humor kept everyone laughing. He had an optimistic nature that lifted everyone up and provided encouragement.

Robert was a devoted child of God and parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Avis; his children, Steven (Rhonda), Michael (Sarah) of Hinsdale, and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Quinn, Madeline, Caroline and Henry; his brother, Carl W. (Peggy) Zielke Jr .; and many extended family members.
