Twenty-one new Hinsdale residents have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week.
The DuPage County Health Department reported 16 new cases, and the Cook County Health Department reported five new cases.
That brings the total number of reported cases in the village to 1,936, compared to 1,915 last week.
Amita Hinsdale Hospital had eight confirmed COVID-19 patients and three patients awaiting test results as of Wednesday, a spokesman said.
In Hinsdale High School District 86, the positive count has yet to be updated since school began last week. Vaccination rates are 91 percent for staff and 51 percent for students.
In Community Consolidated Elementary District 181, seven positive cases were reported Aug. 25-31. They involve four students, two teachers and one staff member.
The rolling seven-day positivity rate for Region 8, which includes DuPage County, was 5.6 percent on Saturday, compared to 5.9 percent a week prior.
Illinois has administered more than 13.9 million doses of vaccines. An average of 39,802 doses are being administered daily, compared to about 23,821 last week.
More than 62.5 percent of DuPage County residents are fully vaccinated.
