Barbara Kincaid of Oakbrook Terrace, formerly of La Grange, passed away Dec. 2, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Barbara worked all of her adult life. Her first job was at Sherwin Paint Store in Spokane, Wash., where she measured windows for glazing and worked the switchboard.
She taught musical kindergarten at her husband, Dean's, School of Music in Spokane, and directed a children's choir at Redeemer Covenant Church in Chicago.
She was a secretary for three Christian organizations: Worldwide Christian Education Ministries in Chicago, Greater Chicago Sunday School Association in Oak Park and Northern Baptist Seminary in Lombard, where she worked in the registrar's office. Barbara was a member of Christ Church of Oak Brook at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Dean Kincaid.
She is survived by her children, Sherilyn (Dean) Monkemeier, Laurilyn (Robert) Watson and Melanie (Tom) Holmes; her grandchildren, Matthew (Tia), Stephen and Owen Monkemeier, and Stuart and Alec Watson; and her great-grandchildren, Eden and Shepard Monkemeier.
A funeral service was held Dec. 7 at Adolf Funeral Home in Willowbrook.
