Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Dec. 14.
DUI arrests
• Anthony M. Wilson, 56, 10S515 Ivy Lane, Willowbrook, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and illegal stopping, standing or parking where prohibited at 4:25 a.m. Dec. 10. Police observed the suspect’s vehicle parked in the intersection, facing oncoming traffic. He was charged and released to appear in court.
• Diante R. Williams, 32, 6749 S. Paxton Ave., Chicago, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and improper parking at 3:15 a.m. Dec. 11 at Washington Street and Chicago Avenue. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Aggravated assault arrest
Steven V. Pebelske, 37, 724 Phillippa St., was arrested for aggravated assault for threatening a family member while holding a pair of scissors in a threatening manor at 11:10 a.m. Dec. 11. He was charged and released to appear in court.
Warrant arrests
• Isael J. Hernandez-Avelar, 22, 2195 London Drive, Glendale Heights, was apprehended on an active arrest warrant out of DuPage County after the car in which he was a passenger was stopped for a traffic violation at 11:43 p.m. Dec. 6 at 55th Street and County Line Road. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. The driver was released without charges.
• Laquell J. Brown, 38, 5502 S. Madison St., Hinsdale, was arrested on an active warrant out of DuPage County at 10:52 a.m. Dec. 12 in the 5500 block of Madison Street. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Resident victim of fraud
A resident of the 1400 block of Burr Oak Court received a cashier’s check for $3,000 with instructions to make payments of $2,900 using online banking from someone posing as a job recruiter. The victim discovered the cashier’s check was fraudulent after completing the online bank transactions.
Christmas decorations stolen
Christmas decorations worth $710 were stolen from the front lawn of a home in the 300 block of North Adams Street between midnight and 9 a.m. Dec. 12. A neighbor reported he also had decorations stolen from his yard.
Vehicle burglarized
Someone entered an unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 500 block of North Vine Street and rummaged through the interior. The incident was reported at 11:46 p.m. Dec. 9.
Man caught on surveillance camera
A resident of the 100 block of North Lincoln Street saw an unknown man exiting his residence on their surveillance camera at 2:51 p.m. Dec. 10. The man was described as white, wearing a black baseball cap, blue jacket, gray sweat pants and gray shoes. Nothing was reported missing from the home, which did not appear to be ransacked.
