Barbara L. Dorn, 94, of Clarendon Hills passed away peacefully Dec. 23, 2021.
Born and raised on the South Side, Barbara loved White Sox baseball and Chicago. She was an active churchgoer, avid reader and life-long learner who enjoyed travel, opera and a nightly Manhattan. She generously gave her time, volunteering with the local library, the Girl Scouts and the PTA, and helped the Infant Welfare Society launch the Christmas luminaria program.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Dorn.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn, Thomas (Deborah) and Karen (Greg); her grandchildren, Jennifer (Ken), Trae (Crysta), David and Samantha (Brian); and her great-grandchildren, Ethan and Amelia.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at First United Methodist Church, 1032 Maple Ave., Downers Grove.
