Mary Slawson Duff, 87 of Northport, Mich., formerly of Hinsdale, passed away peacefully in the company of family March 14, 2022, in Burr Ridge from natural causes.
Mary Duff was born in 1934 in Ann Arbor, Mich. She earned degrees in political science and elementary education from the University of Michigan and a master of library sciences from Rosary College. She was married to her husband, Don, for more than 50 years. Mary was actively involved in many community service organizations throughout her life and enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her dogs and family members.
Mary is survived by her three children, Alison (James) Audet, James Duff and Laurel Duff; her four grandchildren, Kristen (Jacob) Audet, Kevin (Ashley) Audet, Nathan Luczak and Anna Luczak; and one great-grandson, Robert Audet.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Donald H. Duff, in 2020, and her parents and brother.
A joint service for Donald and Mary will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge, 5905 S. County Line Road, Hinsdale.
