Janet Casey, nee Vogel, 97, of LaGrange Park, formerly of Western Springs, passed away peacefully of natural causes with her family at her side
She was born in 1924, in Philadelphia to Fred and Florence Vogel.
Janet was an avid golfer at La Grange Country Club. She and her husband traveled extensively. She will be fondly remembered for her love of family and friends, artistic qualities and her sense of style.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mayer Casey; and her brother, Fred (Thelma) Vogel.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Leslie) Casey, Barbara (Gil) Stenholm and Donna (Art) Simon of Hinsdale; her grandchildren, Tom, Dave, John and Michael Casey, C.J. (Amanda) O'Keeffe, Scott and Eric (Lisa) Stenholm and Jim, John and Jane Simon; and her eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Plymouth Place, 315 N. LaGrange Road, LaGrange Park.
Interment is private.
