Fifty-one Hinsdale residents have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week. The DuPage County Health Department reported 44 new cases, and the Cook County Health Department reported seven new cases.
That brings the total number of reported cases in the village to 3,766, compared to 3,715 last week.
AdventHealth Hinsdale is no longer reporting on cases.
Hinsdale High School District 86 reported nine positive cases as of April 12, including four staff members, three students at Central and two students at South.
Community Consolidated School District 181 reported 59 cases April 20-26, involving 48 students, six teachers and five staff members.
As of April 11, the Illinois Public Health Department is no longer updating the rolling seven-day positivity rate. The last report was 3.8 percent on April 3.
Now the state is reporting the number of cases per 100,000 population, which was 36.7 on April 27 in DuPage County, compared to 26.2 on April 19. The transmission level increased from low to medium over the past week.
