KRAMER DRAFTED BY CHICAGO BEARS
Hinsdale’s Doug Kramer was selected by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round (No. 207 overall) of the NFL draft on Saturday. The five-year starting center for the University of Illinois earned All-Big Ten honors in each of his last three seasons. He was an All-Big Ten second team selection by the conferences coaches in 2021 after being an All-Big Ten honorable mention honoree in 2020 and 2019.
The 6-2, 305-pounder was a three-time captain for Illinois and excelled in the classroom. He was the No. 7 ranked interior offensive lineman returning to college football in 2021 and listed as the No. 7 NFL draft center prospect in the nation by Mel Kiper.
Kramer graduated from Hinsdale Central in 2016, where he was an offensive lineman for the Red Devils.

TENNIS TEAM HOLDS FUNDRAISER
The Hinsdale Central varsity boys tennis team held a Red/White Scrimmage Fundraiser for Bridge Communities, a nonprofit that supports the homeless as they transition to living in homes.
Team captains Noah Hernandez and Mujtaba Ali-Khan led their squads as the team raised more than $3,500.
