Interested writers who live in Hinsdale are invited to apply to be a contributing columnist for The Hinsdalean.
Contributing columnists write once every seven or eight weeks during the school year for two years. The paper has three openings, including a one-year term for a high school senior.
To apply, email a sample column of 450 words along with ideas for three additional columns to editor Pam Lannom at [email protected].
The ideas don’t need to be detailed, but they are taken into account as part of the selection process.
Please include your name, address and daytime phone number, along with a brief bio and your motivation for applying.
Individuals seeking to publicize a business, topic, organization or cause need not apply. Elected officials and employees of public bodies are not eligible, either.
This is not a paid position.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to Monday, Aug. 1.
