Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Aug. 2.
Drug, warrant arrest
James M. Meyer, 36, 434 S. Lincoln St., Hinsdale, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County at 11:42 p.m. July 26 at York Road and Minneola Street. Police conducted a consensual pedestrian stop on the sidewalk and discovered the suspect in possession of a white powdery substance in plastic baggies that field tested positive for Fentanyl. He was taken to DuPage County Jail for warrant service, with additional charges pending the results of the lab report.
Domestic battery arrest
A 27-year-old Hinsdale man was arrested for domestic battery July 30 for making physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with a family member that caused bodily harm. He was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.
Rock thrown through window
A rock was thrown through a home’s window in the 200 block of North Grant Street between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 23. The incident was reported July 26.
Vehicle vandalized
The drivers side windows of a vehicle were shattered by an unknown object between 3:15 and 5:05 p.m. July 28 while it was parked on the street at North and Grant streets. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
Credit card fraud
Telephone orders for vehicle parts totaling $5,287.36 using a credit card on July 18 and 20 from Hinsdale Land Rover/Jaguar, 336 E. Ogden Ave., were subsequently found to have not been authorized by the cardholder.
Identity theft cases
• Fraudulent transactions were made July 21 on the bank account of a resident of the 10 block of Spinning Wheel Road. The incident was reported July 27.
• Someone used the identity of a resident of the 200 block of North Vine Street in an online attempt to finance a vehicle on July 23. The incident was reported July 27.
