Jean Ann Cronin, nee Conners, 92, of Hinsdale died Oct. 24, 2022.
Affectionately known as "Big Red," Jean Ann was a long-time volunteer at Hinsdale Hospital, avid knitter, golfer and bridge player. She was a fashionista and a friend to all who instilled in her family the gift of gab and a zest of for life. The Cronin family would like thank Kinga for the exceptional care and compassion given to their mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark A. Cronin Jr .; and her son-in-law, Charles Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Caron (Larry) Green, Nancy (Al) Roviaro, Mark A. III (Karen), Susan (Daniel) Real, Amy (Robert) Marciniak and Brian (Barbara) Cronin; her grandchildren, Patrick (Margie), Christopher (Nora), Stacey (Michael), Charley (Jules), Michael (Mae), Kasey (Alex), Mark A. IV (Jacqui), Cathrin (Jeff), Alyssa, Kelly, Emma (Raul), Conor (Maureen), Chelsea, Molly, Julia, Luke, Myles, Mackenzie, Elsa, Annie and Brian Jr .; her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Weston, Brayden, Shae, Felix, Mason, Noah, Sutton, Cormac and Raul IV; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 S. Wolf Road, Western Springs.
A funeral Mass will follow at the church at 11 a.m. Interment is private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
