Eleanor Moculeski, 97, a longtime Hinsdale resident, passed away Nov. 15, 2022.
She was born on in 1925 in Philadelphia, Penn.
Eleanor was a grade school teacher in the 1960s at St. Isaac Jogues School and later was a resource teacher at Madison School. She always enjoyed running into former students who fondly remembered her encouraging teaching style. Eleanor spent many hours as a volunteer with the St. Isaac Jogues Parish, helping out at 5 o'clock mass and as an Ecumenical minister, which provided her the opportunity to serve maternity patients at Hinsdale Hospital. She loved visiting with the families and new mothers when serving communion. She was also an active in the SIJ Seniors group at the parish.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester F. Moculeski; and her niece, Jessica Hulsebosch.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Moculeski; her grandchildren, Christian (Tammie) Kister and Alexandra (Maxwell) Kister Ryan; her great-grandchildren, Theodore J. and Eleanor Ryan and Nathan T. Kister; and her nieces, Jeanne Budney and Sr. Dolores Orzel.
A funeral Mass was said Nov. 22 at St. Isaac Jogues Church in Hinsdale.
Interment was at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook.
